Graduate Engineer

We are seeking a talented Graduate Engineer to join our Dubai office. This position is primarily focused on technical delivery, requiring the role holder to collaborate closely with their line manager, project managers, and fellow team members to achieve shared objectives effectively.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (mandatory)
• Master’s degree in Transportation planning from a recognized university is preferred
• Work experience in a relevant professional consultancy in the GCC region
• Good understanding of the underlying principles of transport planning, traffic engineer and modelling, sufficient to carry out and support transport planning relate task
• Ability to create, handle and manipulate large data sets with MS Excel
• Working knowledge of GIS tools
• Experience in using statistical tools and database software packages
• Experience in data analysis and programming
• Very good technical writing skills and Competent use of the English language (reading, writing, and spoken) at a professional and technical level.
  Good awareness or understanding of Project Management techniques
• Good awareness or understanding of project delivery and execution within field of experience particularly regarding the requirements for the technical delivery of services and the Quality assurance/Control process and procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out various transport planning and mobility-related data analyses under the supervision and guidance of senior members of the mobility team
• Provide necessary support to prepare and enhance the presentation quality of technical reports, notes, and presentation slides
• Develop bespoke tools using programming languages to prepare and analyse transport model inputs and outputs
• Maintain a can-do attitude to learn new software used in the transport modelling industry and utilize these tools to support transport planning and modelling projects
• Analyse GIS-based data and prepare maps and plots as needed for the project
• Conduct benchmarking and desktop-based research studies
• Play coordination roles in the multi-stakeholder project environment to streamline the data-gathering process
• Conduct any other task (e.g. site visit, survey data collection, etc.) as assigned by the senior member of the team associated with the transport planning and modelling related task
